Our group combines teaching, research and clinical care at the Nova Scotia Health Authority, the Izaak Walton Killam [IWK] and Dalhousie University. Our team sees more that 40,000 patients a year and operates on over 6,000 surgical cases.

Our residency program is one of the best in the country attracting the best medical students from across this great land and abroad. Along with teaching residents we teach medical students in small groups and offer elective rotations for off-service residents and medical students from Dalhousie and across Canada.

Another major part of our team consists of all our graduates, or Alumni - the Yabsley Club. We have Dalhousie trained orthopaedic surgeons working around the world and we invite them all back each year to celebrate our graduating class.

Please take your time and browse our site to find information about patient care, our research and our teaching.

This site is new and we will be adding more pages, and more information all the time.  If you have some suggestions, please let us know via the contact page.

If you graduated from Dalhousie Orthopaedics, please get in touch with us on our Alumni page.
